Assurance

At times, our world can be terrifying. With such a lot of brutality and vulnerability, we can feel helpless and confounded. When things go wrong in their personal lives, some people assume that God has abandoned them, but He is always with us. Assuming that we feel alone during our period of scarcity, rather than running with the suspicion that God has left us, we ought to chip away at waking us up to see where He is in the circumstance. Even though there may not always be immediate or obvious positive outcomes from negative events, this does not mean that they are not there. You can always call out to God for help recognizing His presence if you continue to struggle to believe that He is watching over us.

Sometimes we put in a lot of time and effort to overcome a personal challenge but don’t get recognition from our peers, or we work really hard to achieve a goal that benefits those around us. At times like these, it’s not uncommon to feel undervalued, devalued, and almost invisible. In any case, God sees all that we do and He remunerates us for a long-term benefit. We are not worthless or invisible to Him.

Knowing that God is watching over us is wonderful. And it’s not just so that He can keep track of when we make mistakes, but also so that He can guard us and lead us through the many twists and turns of life.

Realizing that God was looking after him gave Jacob extraordinary certainty and similarly staying alert that God’s eye is on us ought to give us the certainty of remarkable things in His name.

Do you have the impression that your actions are going unnoticed or that no one is supporting you? Let these verses from the Bible show you how vigilant your Heavenly Father is.

Genesis 28:15 says, “I will bring you back to this land, and I will be with you and watch over you wherever you go.” I won’t leave you until I’ve fulfilled my promise to you.
